Boys swim and dive schedule for the week of 1/23-1/28
Happy Friday!
First off, thank you to all the parents who volunteered their time at the meet last night, and for the Morse Family for hosting the pasta party this week! Although we lost against our cross town rivals, the boys had some amazing races! In fact, we won every single race with the exception of the 50 free. That is impressive, and you can see that hard work in the pool is starting to really pay off. Last night, Ben Virkus received a state cut in the 100 breaststroke as well! Attached, please find the results from last night's meet for your reference.
As a reminder, the boys have early morning practice tomorrow, 7-9:30, starting with weights.
Looking ahead, the schedule is as follows:

1/24: 5:45 am - 7 am (lifting only)

If you offered to help with the food, you can bring it any time after 1:00 pm that day. We still need someone to sign up to bring water and Gatorade to that party.

Congratulations to all the swimmers and divers on the first meet against Groves. Although we lost, we had some personal bests and the boys had a lot of fun! The results are attached for your reference. Thank you to everyone who helped run the meet, it is greatly appreciated!!
Some highlights from the meet are State cuts for Will Cicco (200/500 free), Jack Cicco (200 IM), & Ryan Pursley (100 fly). This is just the beginning of the season, so it will be fun to see more and more of the boys reaching their goals!! Please refer to the packet we gave you at the meeting regarding cuts for the County Meet and State Meet Cuts.
This week:
Monday – Friday: practice after school 2:45 – 5:00 pm

If you have any pictures from the meets or practices that you want to share, please text them to me at 248-520-5100!
Lastly, the Stoney Creek Boosters have asked us to share three files, which are attached. The Membership Form, their Meeting Date Schedule should you like to attend, and Stoney Creek Spirit Wear Link. The Boosters run the concessions for certain sports and we like to support that. Hours spent helping them, results in $30 that goes towards our team. That money gets allocated once a year to each team that helps out. Please check out their facebook page as they have the sign up genius to work concessions and schedule updates!
Have a great week leading up to our school break!! Hope everyone stays healthy!!

December 2, 2022 - Update on the pool
Happy Friday everyone. The latest update on the pool is it won’t be ready until Wednesday,
December 7th. Plan next week will be Wednesday and Thursday practice after school 2:50-5pm and Friday the boys will swim from 5:45-7am. There is a travel meet for USSC so there will be no afternoon practice on Friday and no Saturday practice. If there is more information, I will let you know ASAP!

November 29, 2022 - One correction for tonight’s meeting
I apologize for yet another email, but the team fee of $100 per swimmer must be made out to RCS. But please write separate checks if you are purchasing a warm
Up. Thank you and sorry for the late notice on this! See you tonight!
November 27, 2022 - Boys Swim and Dive Important Information
Good morning everyone! I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving! This week, the boys will be meeting with Erica on Monday, November 27th after school by the pool. As of now the swimmers will be starting practice next Monday, December 5th.
However, the divers will be starting practice tomorrow. The new dive coach is Bailey Warren, [email protected]. The dive practice schedule as follows:
Practice Schedule
· Monday through Friday 2:45/3:00pm-4:30/4:45pm at Adams Pool starting after Thanksgiving 11/28/22.
· Optional practice on Saturdays at OXFORD High School, 8:00-10:30am.
*Practice times will be “set in stone” after first two weeks of practice. I understand that many of the divers may be coming from other campuses and may rely on parent transportation. I want to provide them enough time for divers to safely commute from their home school to Adams.
· Because Coach Bailey coaches all 3 high schools; practice schedules may be adjusted due to meets – this will be communicated with athletes and parents.
· Parents are welcome to watch practice from the spectator area in the bleachers.
Tuesday, November 28th, we will be having our parent meeting in the media center at 7 pm. We have several items to go over so please be sure to attend. For the meeting, please bring the following items:
Lastly, TODAY is the final day to order your mandatory apparel for the season. As a reminder, each swimmer must purchase a suit, cap (comes with two) and a t-shirt. https://stoneyswim22.itemorder.com
In addition, today is the final day to place your order for some fun Stoney Creek Swim and Dive apparel. https://group.ordermygear.com/de017aeb-e2a2-4c19-6063-fcbb195690bd/
Thank you and we look forward to seeing you all at the meeting on Tuesday evening!
